Emotion Code vs. Body Code: Which One Do You Need?

You know something feels off. Maybe it's an emotional weight you can't shake. Maybe it's harder to pin down: you feel drained, out of balance, and you're not sure where it's coming from.

Both the Emotion Code and the Body Code can help you find out. They come from the same place, and they're built for different questions.

The short answer

  • Choose the Emotion Code when you know the weight is emotional: a hard season, a pattern that keeps repeating, a relationship, grief, or money stress.
  • Choose the Body Code when you want a whole-picture look and you're not sure where the imbalance starts.

What is the Emotion Code?

The Emotion Code focuses on one thing: trapped emotions. These are emotions from past experiences that never fully processed and may still shape how you feel and react today.

A session uses muscle testing to identify each trapped emotion, find when it became trapped, and release it with intention. It's focused, specific, and a natural starting point for most people.

What is the Body Code?

The Body Code was also developed by Dr. Bradley Nelson, and it includes the Emotion Code inside it. It widens the lens.

A Body Code session is a whole-body energetic assessment guided by your body's own priorities. It looks across every layer of your energy system to find what's most ready to be addressed right now. That may include emotional, energetic, structural and lifestyle imbalances, in whatever order your body prioritizes.

No two Body Code sessions are the same. Some focus mostly on trapped emotions. Others go in directions you wouldn't have guessed.

Which one should you start with?

If you're new to this work, start with the Emotion Code. It's the simplest way to experience how specific a session can be, and the $35 Standard Emotional Release lets you try it without a big commitment.

Choose the Body Code if you've already done emotional work and feel there's more going on, or if you want one session that looks at everything at once.
