What to Expect After an Emotion Code Session
Your report lands in your inbox. You read the list of emotions, and one of them stops you: you know exactly what that was.
Then comes the question almost everyone asks: what happens now?
This guide walks through what people commonly notice in the hours and days after an Emotion Code session, and how to take care of yourself while things settle.
Every experience is different
There's no single right way to feel after a session. Some people notice a shift right away. Some notice it over the next few days. Some notice it later, when a situation that used to set them off passes without the usual charge.
All of those are normal.
What people commonly notice
Feeling lighter. Many people describe a sense of relief, as if they set something down.
Feeling tired. Releasing emotions can feel like the day after a long, honest conversation. Some people want extra rest for a day or two.
Old feelings passing through. Sometimes an emotion surfaces briefly as it leaves: a wave of sadness, a memory, a few tears. It usually passes quickly.
More vivid dreams. Some people notice their dreams are more active for a few nights.
Nothing obvious at first. That's common too. Some people only notice the difference when they look back a week later.
"I had my healing session yesterday and I could feel myself getting lighter, emotionally. Today I'm feeling wiped out and could viscerally sense the old emotions coming up to be cleared out. It's crazy what even an introductory session can do to help heal."

How to support yourself after a session
- Drink plenty of water. It's one of the simplest ways to care for yourself while things settle.
- Rest when you can. Go to bed a little earlier. Say no to one extra thing.
- Read your report slowly. Notice which emotions and timeframes stand out. You don't need to analyze them.
- Write down what comes up. A few lines in a journal can help you see patterns over time.
- Be gentle with yourself. If a feeling surfaces, let it move through without judging it.
- Move your body softly. A walk outside, stretching, or time in nature can help you feel grounded.
Reading your written report
Your Peace by Peace Healing report lists each emotion released, when it became trapped, and a plain-language definition. It also includes closing guidance for the days after your session.
Many people reread their report more than once. The timeframes often connect to chapters of life you haven't thought about in years, and seeing them on the page can bring a sense of understanding.
"The report also helped me with my own reflection looking back and honouring some feelings in the past."
James
When to book another session
Some people feel complete after one session. Others come back when a new layer is ready, after a hard season, or to work on something specific like the Heart Wall or inherited patterns. There's no schedule to keep. Book when it feels right.
When to reach out for other support
Emotion Code sessions are a complementary energy practice. They do not diagnose or treat any medical or mental health condition, and they're not a substitute for professional care. If you're struggling, please reach out to a licensed provider or someone you trust.
Frequently asked questions
How long do the effects of a session last?
An emotion that has been released stays released. New emotions can become trapped during future hard experiences, which is why some people return for sessions over time.
Is it normal to feel worse before I feel better?
Some people feel tired or emotional for a day or two. If it doesn't pass, or you're concerned, reach out to a healthcare provider.
Can I book another session right away?
Most people give themselves at least a few days to notice how they feel before booking again.
Ready for your first session?
Your Standard Emotional Release session is $35 and includes a full written report by email within 4 to 5 business days.
